The Nazca booby is the largest booby in the Galápagos, with a white body, black flight feathers, and an orange bill. Chicks practice obligate siblicide, where the first-hatched chick pushes its younger sibling out of the nest. It was split from the masked booby as a separate species in 2000.

Breeds throughout the archipelago; timing varies by colony and year rather than one fixed peak.
