Why We Built This — Our Story

Book Cruise Now didn’t start as a tech company. It started as a family frustrated by how Galapagos cruises were sold—and a belief that travellers and shipowners both deserved better.

The problem we saw

For decades, Galapagos cruises have been sold through layers of intermediaries. A ship operator sets a price. A wholesaler adds a margin. A travel agency adds another. By the time a traveller sees the price, 20–40% of it is commission.

Travellers overpay. Ship operators get squeezed. And when a traveller has a question, they’re talking to someone who has never set foot on the boat.

We grew up around these ships. We know the captains, the guides, the families who pour everything into making these expeditions extraordinary. We knew there had to be a better way.

What we built

Book Cruise Now is a direct booking platform. Ship operators list their real prices and real availability. Travellers browse, compare, and connect directly with the operator’s team.

No markup. No middleman. No call centre between you and the people who actually run the ship. When you send an inquiry, it goes to a captain, a tour coordinator, or a ship manager who can answer your specific questions because they’ve lived the experience themselves.

We’re a small team with deep roots in the Galapagos. Our family has been connected to these islands for years—through tourism, through conservation work, and through the simple love of a place unlike anywhere else on Earth.

We built this platform because we believe the Galapagos experience is too important to be diluted by intermediaries. Every shipowner on our platform is someone we know personally. Every listing is a real departure with real availability.
